Here's the scoop.

Mike Schaadt and Jaimie Keller, both long time band mates as well as touring and recording artists, decided to do something special for other musicians in the area and have some fun of their own. The Meat Shop is a small studio of about 1200sf, but has a ton of options for alternate spaces and vibes. We also have a tracking room available in PDX for small scale work or overdubs from cats in the big city (hey, we be environmentally conscious and respect the drive time, yo!).

We have some good gear and some stupidly old, pathetic, and scratched gear that we actually [gasp...] know how to use. No wall of compessors here-we work more on good mic placement, getting the vibe of the songs right, and making artists confortable to play their best.

We are choosey about clients and expect the same FROM our clients. If we don't dig the band and the music, its not the right studio, period.

Most of all-the Meat Shop is all about music and making the tracking process something awesome you'll not soon forget.
